'There are a broad range of professional and amateur speakers that visit our meetings and give informative and thought provoking talks for amateur astronomers of every experience and interest.'

Founded 1984: 'We have about 90 members in total, providing a wide range of backgrounds, interests, professions and ages. We have a calendar of meetings starting with our monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of each month from October to April. We invite speakers to talk on a wide variety of Earth Science topics.'

Bring your family, bring your enthusiasm.' Normally held February (for 7-14 years olds) and October (for adults).

'Gender is a key theme for Sussex research and many of our faculty are expert leaders in this field. We research and teach on gender issues in a variety of schools and departments which leads to fresh and innovative debates and to a diverse approach to teaching and learning. We also have a strong policy, community, and media presence via several high-profile research projects.'

'The Regency Society was founded to protest against the potential destruction of Brighton and Hove's historic heritage, and we still work to ensure that our historic townscape and buildings are protected by contributing to Council discussions, promoting our views and advocating good practice. Our interest is not restricted to the Regency period despite our name. We are keen to support the construction and conservation of high quality townscape and buildings from every era and have a lively interest in the future development of our town and the issues which confront it in the 21st century ... We hold regular lectures, discussions and social events throughout the winter months.'
