'Our main activity is a programme of eight talks each year by visiting and home-grown speakers on aspects of the history of Woking and other historical topics. Doors open at 7.45 pm and the talks begin at 8.00 pm. There is always time to socialise over a cup of tea or coffee afterwards and we welcome visitors as well as members.'
