Open Lectures & Talks'Meets on the first Saturday afternoon of each month ... at 2.30 pm ... Our meetings are both friendly and highly informative - and are conducted with the absolute minimum of formality. Usually, each meeting has a theme; members bring along items for discussion, and often go away having acquired more knowledge of the subject than they arrived with! Occasionally, we will invite a guest speaker, and we have even been known to venture out bravely into the fresh air to visit a site of historic interest, or a regimental museum.' However, unfortunately, the Website of the Society seems to have disappeared: I do not know whether the Society has also ceased operation ...
