'French Clubs affiliated to and with talks supported by Alliance Française de Londres. Please note that admission to events organised by French Circles are entirely a matter for them and the Alliance Francaise de Londres is not responsible for or involved in admission policies to events.' (Note I have added a small number of Localities hosting 'French Clubs' but which were not referenced in the AFL List at the time of Review.)

'Local groups usually meet once a month, slowing down in the alpine off-season at the height of summer. So if you’re a gardener of a different stripe, alpines are a fun way to extend your gardening season! Group meetings often involve a talk from a plant expert, a raffle and a plant sale. Groups also arrange trips out to gardens and places of interest throughout the year.'

It’s something we’ve been committed to since 1957 ... We're over 60,000 members in 150 countries, and a wider community of business leaders, educators, practitioners and policy-makers all committed to our mission ... Whichever your area of interest, our wide-ranging specialist and regional groups offer you a professional and friendly platform to share knowledge and experiences, debate ideas, grow your network and raise your profile.' Apart from the significant number of Events 'open to all' organized by the various BCS Groups, there are also the annual Karen Spärck Jones Lecture, Lovelace Lecture, Roger Needham Lecture, and Turing Talk.

'The Society holds three types of meetings each month and you don't have to be a member to attend any of them, although of course we encourage people to join: * Our Main Meetings usually involve a popular level talk by an outside speaker, typically from a university, on some aspect of astronomy or space science; * Between September and June we hold monthly Introduction to Astronomy Meetings; * Weather permitting we hold Monthly Observing Sessions on the Saturday following the Saturday immediately after our Main Meetings.'

'The Multi-Faith Centre encourages and facilitates dialogue, co-operation, mutual respect and understanding between people from different faith communities and civil society, who by coming together aim to improve the wellbeing of vulnerable people living in Derbyshire.'
