Museum from Home 'We care for Aberdeen's Nationally-Recognised collections of art and history on behalf of the people of Aberdeen. Every object tells a story, and we want to share some of them with you - through music, personal insights, strange connections, conversations and more. With contributions from experts, enthusiasts, musicians, school children and other Aberdonians. Why not discover a new way to enjoy our collections and venues today?  ... We are part of Aberdeen City Council’s Place: City Growth Team and through our collections, buildings, exhibitions and events we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of everyone who lives, works, studies and visits our city. Our colletions are recognised by UNESCO and the Scottish Government as nationally and internationally important. The historical records of Aberdeenshire Council are also preserved and managed by the Team.'

LECTURES and TALKS2021-22 Programme

'The Society meets monthly (second Tuesday of the month) from September to May ... where a talk/presentation is normally given by either a guest speaker or a society member.

Category Europe

'Established in its current form in 1980 for people with a love and interest in Greece or Cyprus: whether this be in Ancient, Byzantine or Modern Greece, in literature, life or the people, the Society exists to support and develop that interest ... It runs an annual programme of events from October to June ... Meetings, in the form of illustrated talks, normally take place on a monthly basis.'

'Based in Aberdeen, the Club was founded in 1887 and is the oldest and one of the largest hillwalking and climbing club in Scotland ... Its members have from time to time included a number of climbers of repute, but most are simply hillwalkers with interests ranging from cross-country walks, through more strenuous hillwalking (and unashamed Munro-bagging), to serious rock and ice-climbing ... Indoor Meets usually take the form of a slide presentation, and are held about 6 times a year between September or October and March. All members, and guests, are welcome to come along. Indoor meets are an ideal event to meet Club members if you are interested in finding out more about the Club or other Club events.'
