Originally 'the University of London Extra-Mural Archaeological Society, catering for past and present students of the University. Now, as EMAS Archaeological Society – or just plain EMAS – we welcome anyone with an interest in archaeology. Beginners, students, amateurs and professionals alike! We’re proud of our broad-based and diverse membership, drawn from many walks of life, and are particularly keen to help younger people (18+) develop their understanding of archaeology or explore new areas of interest ... EMAS lays on a range of group activities for its members, including free lectures, half day visits in London, whole day field trips and longer residential study tours'.

'A volunteer-run members' organisation and Registered Charity that represents the interests of beekeepers and urban beekeeping in the central London area .. We provide education and advice, promoting responsible bee keeping and raising awareness of the issues affecting bees.'
