'An independent company and charity based in Edinburgh and we run reading and writing projects. We believe that literature in its broadest sense enriches the soul and brings joy, and that it is a true way to understand and celebrate ourselves, our city and our nation. We are the founding city in an international network of UNESCO Cities of Literature. We run campaigns and projects to transform our literary city; we create networks and spaces to connect people.'
