'Aiming to encourage, improve and advance apiculture across the county of Lincolnshire and increase public awareness of the importance of bees in the environment. Lincolnshire Beekeepers Association (or LBKA) is made up of 10 districts, which cover the whole county. Each district has its own programme of meetings and events, and members are able to visit any LBKA district meeting and join in ... We aim to promote and provide an open and enthusiastic atmosphere at any of our events and all are welcome ... We also run events ourselves, either directly, or by one of our districts. These include the annual Spring and Autumn Lectures, the Lincoln District Bee Auction and the Bee Health Day.'

Category Louth

'The Louth Naturalists' Antiquarian and Literary Society (Ants & Nats for short) was founded by a group of young men in 1884, who met each week to discuss local and natural history. The Louth Ants & Nats is still a thriving society today. As well as operating Louth Museum, the society owns and controls other historic buildings in the town. Our present-day aims : * To promote interest in and research into the history, natural history, archaeology and literature of Louth; * To organise lectures and excursions connected to the local history and natural history of our area; * To provide a museum for Louth and the local area, which is open to the public and tells the story of our town and its people.'
