'We are a group of over 60 aviation enthusiasts located in the Southampton area ... Our society was founded in 1980 ... It is open to anyone with an interest in aviation and although the name states “Historical” we try to cater for all aspects of aviation. Our activities are mainly concerned with having guest speakers at our monthly meetings talking on any aspects of aviation. We visit RAF stations, air shows & museums etc that have an aviation theme. We also have a few social functions throughout the year including our own fly-in.'
