Cairngorm Club, The

'Based in Aberdeen, the Club was founded in 1887 and is the oldest and one of the largest hillwalking and climbing club in Scotland ... Its members have from time to time included a number of climbers of repute, but most are simply hillwalkers with interests ranging from cross-country walks, through more strenuous hillwalking (and unashamed Munro-bagging), to serious rock and ice-climbing ... Indoor Meets usually take the form of a slide presentation, and are held about 6 times a year between September or October and March. All members, and guests, are welcome to come along. Indoor meets are an ideal event to meet Club members if you are interested in finding out more about the Club or other Club events.'
