'The principal role of the Centre is to promote, coordinate and disseminate information relating to, the academic study of Central Asia and the Caucasus across the disciplines and to act as a resource for academic, governmental, non-governmental and business constituencies with an interest in Central Asia and the Caucasus. It does so through the research and publications of its staff, new teaching programmes, an established seminar series and special events.'

'Combines world class scholarship with a great teaching and learning environment for undergraduate and post-graduate students. Our researchers are engaged in internationally recognised work in the history, literature, linguistics, social anthropology, sociology, politics and contemporary culture of the Middle East, North Africa, China, Japan and the two Koreas. The work of several staff crosses traditional geographic and subject boundaries and all our work is firmly grounded in primary source research.'

'Lectures are held monthly at the Society ... All are followed by a reception. There is no charge and tickets are not normally required. Anyone wishing to attend who is not a fellow should contact the Executive Officer.'

'The RSAA (founded 1901) focusses on the current affairs, politics, culture and post-1800 history of Asia. Talks are roughly twice a month, online and open to the public free of charge. Details can be found on the Society's website, through the Society's social media posts and through its mailing list. Recordings of many past talks are available on the Society's YouTube Channel.'
