We are a friendly Centre and meet monthly at 8.00 pm on the last Thursday ... plus afternoon lectures at 2.15 pm most months ... Meetings include talks on a wide range of subjects and also allow members to socialise with like-minded people with tea and coffee available. Our ever popular lectures are well attended and this allows us to secure the services of good quality speakers, there is only a nominal fee charged for entrance to the lectures.'

In addition to visits, they participate in a wide variety of other activities, including talks, music, art and social events. Some people like being in the Quantock Centre because they can continue to enjoy the benefits of National Trust membership when they are less mobile. The Centre enables them to visit places they might otherwise miss.'

'Each month during the winter season we hold a meeting alternately in Royston and Saffron Walden ... At these meetings we have speakers who cover a wide variety of topics.
