'We have various activities throughout the year: a lecture programme, coach trips, walks, outings, coffee mornings and an annual Christmas lunch ... We welcome non-members to our lectures, many of whom subsequently decide to join the Centre. We like to think we are a friendly and sociable organisation. Membership is currently just under five hundred.'

'We meet ... on the 4th Tuesday of the month (March, April, May and September) and the 4th Saturday of the month in January, February, October and November. Meetings include talks on a wide range of subjects, National Trust properties, heritage, conservation, houses and gardens and many other interests which allows members to socialise with like-minded people.'
