'London Skeptics in the Pub is an award winning lecture series discussing; science, history, philosophy and current news and ideas in society which meets (usually) once every month.'
'Twice a month we run a “Skeptics in the Pub” event, where a group of us get together to drink beer, tell jokes and talk about nonsense. One event is a social, where you can get to know new people and have a drink and some fun. The other features a lecture from a guest speaker.'
Monthly evening meetings at 7.30 pm, usually first Thursday.

'We usually meet on the first Tuesday of the month ... and the talks usually start at 7.30 pm.'
'Thinking and drinking. That is unlikely goal of our meeting. Each month we invite a speaker to talk about an area of belief and to invite critical debate. We encourage sceptical thought and we enjoy challenging discussions. We also welcome humour and we intend to have a good time ... The meetings are open to all, no matter what your prior beliefs. We ask that you come along with a willingness to be challenged in your beliefs and we provide an opportuity for you to challenge others - and to enjoy a drink or two.'
'Our meetups normally take place on the second Thursday each month.'
'Each month we host a talk - usually by a notable scientist or skeptic, but not always - in a relaxed and friendly manner. In a pub. The subjects of the talks will vary considerably but they will typically be about a common belief that either cannot be justified by the available evidence, or that can actually be demonstrated to be false by the available evidence. The talks are followed by an informal Q&A / discussion and that is followed by more beer. Because we're in a pub. We usually hold these talks on the third Monday of each month at 7.30 pm.'
'We have packed and lively meetings once or twice a month in a big pub in Westminster, just by St James Tube station. Less than a year old, we already have attracted attention from the BBC, the British Medical Journal, and the blogosphere. Our launch was covered by BBC Newsnight. All welcome; no need to book; £2 per head.' However, Westminster Skeptics is currently resting.
