'We meet regularly throughout the year. Our Winter programme usually starts early September through to the following May and is a mix of visiting lecturers, practical evenings, talks, competitions and social events. The lectures and talks range widely over the majority of photographic subjects including, from time to time, photographic impressions of other countries and lifestyles.'

Organize 'a monthly programme of talks on environmental and historical topics ... Visitors are always welcome'.
'The Society’s season of meetings runs from late September to late April and it meets every Thursday evening (with the odd exception) from 19.30 hours until 22.00 hours ... The Society has an active programme of visiting speakers, internal and external competitions and members’ nights. Our social side is also active – so much so that even out of season, members meet up every week (usually at a local pub) and also plan photographic outings.'
