The Institute operates locally throughout the UK and Ireland through a network of member-led Branches. The Branch Calendar includes all events run or supported by IOP Branches, may of which can be attended by non-members of the Institute. Typically we read: 'All meetings are free to members and visitors, and light refreshments are usually provided in the half hour before the event. Most meetings are suitable for sixth-form students.'
