'Each free session begins with a short talk by one of the University’s Philosophy experts, followed by an open forum for debate. Discussions are relaxed with groups large enough to enjoy a number of diverse opinions, yet small enough to allow you to put your views across ... Please note the Philopsophy Cafés are free of charge and there is no need to book, feel free to just turn up.'
'The talks given by Southampton's philosophers at the Philosophy Café at the John Hansard Gallery are now available to listen to as podcasts.'

'Philosophy at the University of Southampton is recognised internationally for its world class teaching and research and this is the third year that we have run our highly successful Philosophy Cafés in conjunction with the John Hansard Gallery. With the aim of bringing together philosophy enthusiasts from both within the University and the wider local community, we hold regular, informal lunchtime discussions that are open to all. We offer philosophical stimulation in a relaxed atmosphere for like-minded individuals where no previous philosophical experience is required – just an appetite for ideas.'
