'The Friends support the work of the museum and its staff to preserve the 285 year legacy of The Black Watch Regiment and its Regimental home at Balhousie Castle. The Friends are an important part of advancing the educational programme of the museum, the conservation of the collections and the acquisition of artifacts and archive material, which are essential to maintaining the future of this unique museum. The Friends are also invited to attend lectures and special events, and receive newsletters to keep them informed of what has been happening, as well as special exhibitions and what’s new in the museum.'

'The Black Watch Regimental Museum is housed in the dramatic and historic Balhousie Castle. The Castle is set in its own beautiful gardens and grounds, which are home to a number of monuments and tributes to Black Watch men. It is ideally situated close to the centre of Perth, beside the pleasant parkland walks of the North Inch on the banks of The River Tay. A visit to this ancestral home of The Black Watch brings this glorious Regiment's past vibrantly to life.'
